- J.M. Barrie – Peter Pan
The author of Peter Pan lived in Kirriemuir; visit the house he was born in and the area he grew up in.
- William Shakespeare - Macbeth
Glamis castle is the setting for Macbeth where you can walk along the “Macbeth Trail”. Travel through to Birnam Wood and visit one of Perthshire’s oldest trees, which also features in the film, Macbeth.
- Beatrix Potter – The tale of Peter Rabbit
Visit the Beatrix Potter exhibition and garden located in Birnam and view some of the locations where she stayed on holiday.
- Robert Burns – The Birks of Aberfeldy
Visit this famous waterfall in Aberfeldy, which was popularised by the song, The Birks of Aberfeldy, written by Robert Burns. Follow in the bard’s footsteps and listen to the falls of Moness, where his creativity flowed.
